Hey guys im looking for some help with an air con unit we have in our rental house. Seeing as its only a rental im not looking at paying big dollars to get it repaired, but being in campbelltown now with this heat is just killing me! Md 81299 Tevion Manual Dexterity. The air con unit on the wall is a mistral mss6.5ss going off the sticker, and i think the last tenants lost the original remote and they have a 'suitable the world' KT-518 remote for it. The remote turns on but nothing happens on the air con end at all. Ive checked the breaker outside and it looks all fine, not burnt out either?
Seeing as this thing in a universal remote with up to 508 models on it i cant seem to find the right setting for it. Hopefully it is just the remote! It was listed in our lease that the air con wasnt working so i know i wont get any help from the realestate end with it and im hoping its just a quick fix. When it comes down to it i cant find ANY help online for either the air con or the remote. Closest ive come is i found a foreign manual for the remote but the brand isnt listed?
Heres the link anyway. Any help would be much appreciated! I have a Mistral Split system not your Model but my remote looks the same. You can run it in manual made without remote. If you lift up flap to access filters on right hand side there are 2 buttons the bottom one will cycle Cool, Heat, Stop. So I assume if you press it once it will start on cool. Also with ours it has a strange problem as it will not start the compressor unit unless I turn off the circuit breaker and turn back on again.
This has been like this for about 4 years but a simple thing to do in my case. Hope this helps. Philbee – Thanks for your help, but still the remote doesnt do a thing. And the new remote i bought at jaycar with the auto search feature didnt pick it up/turn it on?
