It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything from Sam Sparro. Sam had everyone hooked on his hit Black & Gold, but what is in store for Sparro’s big follow up to his self-titled debut? The reason for Sam’s hiatus has been a greuling two and a half years writing and creating his new album titled Return To Paradise. What’s exciting is that he’s really found a genre and style that will make him stand out against other male-pop counterparts. This time around, Sparro is being influenced and inspired by soul and funk music from 1978 to 1984.

This rings very true in the lead-off single from the new album, The Shallow End. A sort-of love song to Los Angeles, Sparro sings about his adoration for the city and why he loves it so much.
